Alexander Voitsekhovsky was born in Moscow in 1964. He grew up in St. Petersburg.

He started drawing at the age of 18. His hobby of drawing left him and many friends with a
large collection of sketches. Unannounced to him, his friends set up his first exhibition in
1994. His work was an instant success , which continues to earn the artist vast international
recognition.

Alexander’s Voitsekhovsky work has been exhibited and sold in Europe, United States,
Japan and Israel. He has illustrated a number of books that were published in Russia and
Japan.  Currently he is working on illustrating a new book of the popular Russian writer
Lyudmila Ulitzkaya. He is also working on illustrating the new edition of Dostoyevsky’s White
Nights as well as writing and illustrating a book of his own for children and adults.
